A significant share of the people who walk into this studio have already spent thousands somewhere else. Some went abroad on a package deal. Some went to a well-regarded UK clinic and were simply unlucky. Either way, they’re sitting in front of a mirror looking at a result that doesn’t match what they were shown in the consultation.
The honest position is this: SMP cannot grow hair, and it cannot undo a transplant. What it can do is fix the things that actually make a poor transplant look poor — the pale scalp showing through sparse grafts, the harsh contrast between dark hair and light skin, the donor scarring at the back, and a hairline that sits wrong on your face.
For a lot of clients that’s enough to close the chapter. For others, the better answer is a full reset — taking everything down to a clean buzzcut look and building an even, deliberate result. We’ll tell you which camp you’re in at consultation, not after you’ve paid.

Six complaints account for most of the transplant repair work we do. If yours is on this list, you’re in familiar territory.
Wait until you’ve healed. We won’t treat a recent transplant. Grafts continue to mature for up to twelve months, and scars need time to settle before they’ll take pigment predictably. If you’re inside that window, the honest advice is to wait — your result may still improve on its own, and treating too early risks working against a result that hasn’t finished arriving.
SMP adds the look of density, not hair. If you want length you can style, SMP isn’t that — and no honest practitioner will tell you otherwise. It works best when your hair is short. If a second transplant is genuinely the better route for you, we’ll say so.
Repair work is slower and more cautious than standard SMP. Transplanted scalp holds pigment differently to untouched scalp, and there’s less room for error when we’re working around someone else’s result.
We look at the transplanted area, the donor region and the scarring under proper light. You’ll get a straight answer about what SMP will realistically achieve — including if the answer is a second transplant instead.
Where scar tissue is involved we test a small, discreet area first to see how it holds pigment. Then the first foundation layer goes in, kept deliberately light.
One or two more, spaced 7–14 days apart, adding depth where the first pass has settled. Contrast between hair and scalp comes down gradually until the eye stops catching on it.
Written aftercare, minimal downtime, and an open door if anything looks off. Most clients return for a top-up somewhere between two and five years later.
